Ad Agencies Will Be Non-Existent 10 Years From Now.

Chances are you either strongly agree or strongly disagree with this statement because, well, now you’re actually reading this post. If the headline had said, “Ad Agencies are Changing,” you wouldn’t be so intrigued. But, instead, my headline grabbed your attention because it sparked a certain emotional reaction from you (whether good or bad), and now you’re hanging onto my every word to see why I would make such an awesome or outrageous claim...

Let your LikeLight shine

We’ve been doing a lot of experimentation with the Facebook Like functionality lately. For good reason, it’s all the rage in Social Media! Since Facebook opened up their Graph API we developer types have been able to get all sorts of fun data to play with. One of those bits of data is the Like count for any Facebook object. Person, post, page, etc…That’s cool and all but how could we take that and make it awesomer?

Do you guys ever get any work done?

A good number of those who follow us seem to eventually wonder, and often ask, “Do you guys ever get any work done?” and/or “What kind of work do you do?”

So, we thought we’d try to take a (small) step back from our culture and put our work, our passion, in the forefront. After a few hours of curating and exactly three Kernel Panics, we present to you some of our recent “work” and in under 2 minutes.

averitt holiday card 2010

Client: Averitt

Project: Holiday Card

Objective: Create an interactive greeting card for Averitt’s customers that’s relevant to both the holiday and the transportation industry, and actually gets people to play with it.

Result: We built a virtual snow globe featuring Santa with an Averitt truck full of presents. You can click and drag the globe to make it snow.

Interactive, relevant, and played with: for every 1 person who saw the card through us, the card received 1.6 views.

Most Righteous Ride

Check the tag on the back of your shirt.

Back?

Alright, a brand out there that makes a bunch of uniforms - particularly automotive - well, that’s the only place they put their logo. And 16 million Red Kap wearers don’t know about it, but what you watched up there is changing it.

Slowly.

redpepper is on a quest to make Red Kap famous, intelligently. We’ve got to get a lot of people to come to the stadium before we announce the starting lineups. Section A, rows 1-50 is Most Righteous Ride.

Happy Holidays: All Up On Your Face!

We heart augmented reality. Other than being burned alive if you step foot within these walls wielding any object resembling an actual pepper, it’s one of the first lessons you learn as a rookie redpepper. So naturally, my first project here at the r-p was to feature some A-R in our own holiday card.

Honk for the Holidays

Averitt’s annual Holiday message was part card and holiday jingle all rolled into one.

We wanted to find a more entertaining way to say Happy Holidays to customers and associates than by sending everyone a physical Christmas card like previous years. We also wanted it to be sharable. This video solution allowed for sales associates to share it with as many people as they wanted to.

Averitt received their highest open rate to date. Something tells us you might see an evolution of this for next year’s Holiday message!
